Some people come in once. A specific issue, a focused session, and they leave with what they needed. That is a perfectly complete outcome.
Orthopedic manual therapy is hands-on treatment focused on the musculoskeletal system — muscles, fascia, joints, and the movement patterns that connect them. At Valenna Health, it combines structured assessment with precise soft tissue work to identify and address the underlying causes of pain and dysfunction, not just the symptoms.
Massage typically focuses on soft tissue for relaxation, circulation, and general tension relief. Physical therapy emphasizes exercise and rehabilitation, with hands-on work playing a supporting role. Chiropractic care centers on joint adjustments and spinal alignment.
Orthopedic manual therapy at Valenna Health is hands-on throughout — the entire session is clinical soft tissue work guided by a full assessment. Treatment targets specific muscles, their attachments, trigger points, fascial relationships, and compensatory structures. The goal is structural resolution, not symptom management.
These disciplines are not in competition. Many of our patients also see a physiotherapist, chiropractor, or personal trainer, and we work well alongside other providers. What we offer is the thorough, sustained manual work that most other settings don’t have the time or focus to provide.
Yes. We regularly work alongside other practitioners. If your physio or chiropractor has identified the issue, we can treat what they’ve found while also doing our own assessment. The approaches are complementary — good clinical care and thorough manual therapy are not the same thing, and most patients benefit from both.
Valenna Health works with persistent and recurring musculoskeletal pain, including back pain, shoulder dysfunction, hip pain, postural problems, and headaches with a structural component. If you have been told your imaging is normal but something still isn’t right, or if the same issue keeps returning despite treatment, this is the kind of work designed for that.
That depends on the complexity of your case and how long the issue has been present. Many patients see meaningful change within two to four sessions. More layered presentations — involving multiple regions, long-standing patterns, or compensation built up over time — take longer. After your first session, you will have a clear picture of what is driving the issue and a realistic sense of what resolution will require.
Valenna Health is a private-pay practice. Sessions are not billed through insurance. A superbill can be provided upon request for patients who wish to seek reimbursement through their provider independently.
This is not a menu-based practice. Treatment is determined by the assessment — what your body presents is what gets treated. We don’t do full-body relaxation massage, lymphatic drainage, or prenatal massage. Every session is targeted clinical work focused on your specific structural issues. If that’s not what you’re looking for, we’re happy to recommend someone who’s a better fit.
No. We do not accept gratuity. The best way to show appreciation is a five-star Google review and referring your friends and family.
All new patients must complete a health intake form before their first visit. You will receive an email from Jane App prompting you to create your secure client account. Please complete the intake form at least 24 hours before your appointment so your session can begin without delay.
Wear comfortable clothing that allows movement assessment. Bring any relevant imaging or injury history if applicable. If you have had recent surgery, a new injury, or significant medical changes, mention this when scheduling.
